Emirates Society of Clinical Microbiology (ESCM) is part of the Emirates Medical Association
(EMA) established in May 2018 to meet the needs of Clinical Microbiologists in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
ESCM aims to encourage communication and promote scientific knowledge, education, research and professional development and, ultimately, improve quality of care for patients suffering from infectious diseases.
ESCM provides a wide variety of services to its members including recent practice guidelines, essential educational resources and links in the ESCM website’s member area. ESCM also offers free or discounted registration and continuing medical education (CME) credits in our scientific events and annual conference. In addition, ESCM provides unique opportunities such as research groups and peer review Services.

Emirates Medical Association (EMA) was established as a non-profit organization in 1981, composed of health practitioners that are members of the EMA as defined by its bylaws. EMA is responsible for supervising and conducting scientific training, events and conferences as well as collaborating with health organizations.
